OBSERVATIONS: This volume represents a first approach to the world of the arpeggios. The different arpeggios are presented, ordered by families from the smallest to the largest opening of the hand. The same scheme of 39 exercises is applied to each of the arpeggios of the different families. In the different annexes a series of exercises based on the "sum of arpeggios" are shown. They are aimed at progressively accustoming the hand and forearm to lateral movement along the keyboard with a natural and relaxed movement. In said sum of arpeggios, two or more arpeggios executed successively intervene, with the same fingering, in areas of the keyboard with the same “topography”, producing in the hand the same sensation of opening their fingers towards each other, as they do not require a change of posture thereof.
This volume is complemented by the 7th (Op. 40) both making up a first contact with the world of arpeggios.
